Treaty establishing the European Community (Nice consolidated version) Part Five: Institutions of the Community Title I: Provisions governing the institutions Chapter 1: The institutions Section 4: The Court of Justice Article 229 Article 172 - EC Treaty (Maastricht consolidated version) Article 172 - EEC Treaty Article 229 Regulations adopted jointly by the European Parliament and the Council, and by the Council, pursuant to the provisions of this Treaty, may give the Court of Justice unlimited jurisdiction with regard to the penalties provided for in such regulations.
